Задумывались ли вы когда-нибудь, как появились первые парки? Не просто лес, или задний двор какого-нибудь дома, а специально выделенная территория с насаждением и зонированием. Кому вообще это понадобилось и зачем? Вот и я не задумывалась. Но специальные рекреационные зеленые зоны были известны еще в древности, и один из самый старых ландшафтных парков расположен на острове Родос в Греции.
В трех километрах от центра города Родос расположен парк Родини. Парк построили еще древние римляне, а на многовековую историю указывает гробница Птолемея — главная достопримечательность парка. Сейчас же парк выглядит заброшенным, хоть и ухоженным. В нем практически нет людей. За первые пол часа прогулки мы никого не встретили, даже собачников.
Парк облюбовали гуси и утки, которые не боятся людей и явно чувствуют себя здесь хозяевами, не пуская туристов на мостики или к воде. Про продукты жизнедеятельности этого курятника я даже и упоминать не буду. Присутствуют и в большой количестве. Примечательно, что по отзывам читается, что на территории парка есть зоопарк с птицами, среди которых есть даже павлин. Никого, кроме уток мы не увидели, а утками русского человека удивить сложно.
А еще в парке совершенно нечего делать. Нет там ни одной кафешки, мало скамеек и уличного освящения. Только разве что гулять под старыми деревьями и осознавать, что в тени этих самых деревьев некогда прогуливались древние праздные люди (другие то заняты были). Так что мы достаточно быстро пошли оттуда назад в цивилизацию, к тому же начинало вечереть.
Утки, кстати, на самом деле очень красивые и чем-то даже напоминают индюков. Я даже хотела одну поймать, но решила не беспокоить законных жителей Родоса. А еще очень интересно смотрятся старые укрепления берегов и мостов, деревянные конструкции.
Вообще парк оставил скорее приятные впечатления, но едва ли в него нужно идти специально. Возможно, в туристический сезон тут действительно более живо, показывают знаменитого павлина, а кто-то разворачивает уличное кафе. Но в ноябре кажется, будто жизни тут нет уже очень и очень давно.
