Бывает такое, что Новый год уже близко, а праздничного настроения не ощущается. Тут можно вспомнить, что у наших соседей эстонцев Рождество наступает на две недели раньше, чем у нас. И пока мы судорожно анализируем, достигли ли мы годовых KPI на работе, в Таллине уже вовсю царит атмосфера праздника. Я стараюсь ездить туда каждый год, так как искренне считаю, что в Таллине самая лучшая Рождественская ярмарка в Прибалтике.
Благо, что из Санкт-Петербурга до Таллина можно добраться удобно, быстро и недорого. Есть поезд, но я все-таки предпочитаю автобусом Lux Express. Итак, предположим, вы приехали под Новый год в Таллин, вышли на автовокзале и думаете, где раздобыть новогоднее настроение. Сейчас я расскажу 7 способов зарядиться праздниками в новогоднем Таллине.
Встречал гостей города в 2019 году.
Итак, чем заняться в Таллине на Новый год:
Все описанные ниже способы опробованы мной на себе)
1. Посетить рождественскую ярмарку на Ратушной площади
Центральная ярмарка Таллина каждый год признается одной из лучших Рождественских ярмарок Европы. Приятной изюминкой является живая настоящая пушистая елка (а не полупрозрачные каркасники, как в Петербурге).
С начала адвента и до конца российских государственных новогодних выходных дней Ратушная площадь превращается в настоящий новогодний город, со своей культурной программой, магазинами, рождественскими блюдами и глинтвейном (в Эстонии его называют Glögi).
Ярмарка является вполне самодостаточным местом для посещения: на ней можно поесть (большое блюдо стоит 10-12€), выпить глинтвейна (3-4€), купить сувениры, купить местные сыры, колбасы, сало, копченый хвост бобра (я не шучу), красивые полотенца для кухни, елочные игрушки и даже одежду. А если вы ребенок до 6 лет, то можно еще и покататься на каруселях. Если времени мало, одной лишь ярмарки хватит для заряда праздничным настроением.
2. Посетить органный концерт в церкви Святого Николая
В Церкви Святого Николая с завидной регулярностью проводятся органные концерты. Играют рождественские произведения (не пасхальные, хотя их я бы послушала с большим удовольствием). Цена за вход 6€ с человека. Так же по самой церкви можно побродить, в ней есть комната с серебряными кубками и очень интересная картина «Таллинская пляска смерти».
Отдельного упоминания заслуживает елка в церкви Святого Николая. Её можно разглядывать часами, и игрушки выполнены в интересном нетрадиционном стиле. Например в 2019 году темой были экзотические птицы и жуки в золотом цвете.
3. Посмотреть на ярмарку из окна старейшей аптеки
Не только в России оптимизируют здравоохранение. Как правило под оптимизацией подразумевают сокращения, и угроза закрытия нависла над Ратушной аптекой — старейшей аптеки Таллина. Но пока она еще работает, в нее надо обязательно зайти и посмотреть на все новогодние украшения через колбы и старинные окна. Заодно можно погреться.
Помимо окон в аптеке есть небольшая экспозиция про аптечное дело. Весами и мензурками меня как дочь преподавателя фармакологии не удивишь, а вот экспонатами, которыми раньше лечились удивить можно любого. Мой любимый образец: опаленный ёж.
4. Посмотреть балет «Щелкунчик»
Есть ли более рождественский балет, чем «Щелкунчик» Чайковского? Я не уверена. Цена на билеты в Мариинку кусается, поэтому разумной альтернативой может стать посещение Национальной оперы «Эстония» в Таллине. Я не балетный критик, но мне постановка понравилась. Особенно момент, где стреляет пушка: все дети в зале переполошились.
А еще в антракте по коридорам театра гуляют крысы (которые из свиты Крысиного короля). Билеты можно купить на сайте piletimaailm. Нам два билета в партер обошлись в 54€ (это примерно 3 800 рублей). Цены в театральном буфете тоже не кусаются, кофе с сосиской в тесте обошелся в 2.5€.
5. Согреться кофе с ликером Vana Tallinn в уютном кафе
Способ был бы банальным, если бы не ликер. Сейчас помимо классической версии Vana Tallinn выпускают еще и зимнюю пряную (Vana Tallinn Winter Spice), а также есть кофейный, вишневый и марципановый вкусы. С таким ликером любой кофе превратится в хорошее настроение и, что самое главное, согреет.
6. Покататься на катке в Старом Городе
Я считаю, что катки отлично подходят Новому году. Много огней, приятная праздничная музыка, розовые щечки катающихся, смешные шапки и прекрасные виды. В общем, если есть возможность покататься на катке, я ее не упускаю, очень сильно заряжает энергией. Только возьмите теплые носочки и хорошие перчатки или варежки, чтобы было комфортно кататься, иначе никакого удовольствия.
Цены периодически подрастают, но в декабре 2019 года были такими.
7. Купить новогодние подарки
На Новый год обычно надо покупать много подарков, при этом желательно не повторяться. Так вот если в России все магазины уже обошли, а глаз так ни на что и не положили, то Таллинские сувениры местных мастеров могут разнообразить поиски. Сейчас в Эстонии много керамистов, витражистов, ювелиров и т.п. Можно найти что-то действительно уникальное. Я вот уже третий год пускаю слюни на серьги, а жаба все еще душит.
Если на ярмарке дороговато, или выбор маленький, то можно зайти в любой универмаг, как правило в это время выделяют целый отдел под новогодние украшения. А в продуктовых супермаркетах есть такой же отдел с праздничными угощениями (конфеты, имбирное печенье, леденцы).
Отдельно стоит сказать о готовом глеге. Бутылочка такого напитка, на мой взгляд, является универсальным подарком: он почти не продается в Петербурге, его можно сразу же распить с гостями, его не надо хранить, как всякие безделушки и магнитики, т.е. выпил и забыл. Вариантов глега огромное количество: на вине, с ликером, с облепихой, алкогольный, безалкогольный, в общем можно подобрать с учетом индивидуальных особенностей одариваемого вами человека.
Есть как алкогольный, так и безалкогольный.
Помимо ёлочных игрушек и глега мне понравились подставки под благовонии в виде печек-буржуек (но фото у меня не сохранилось), копченый хвост бобра (родители так и не поняли, рыба перед ними или мясо), наборы специй для глинтвейна.
