Как прошел Black Food Festival в Таллине

Когда я понимаю и точно знаю даты своей поездки в какой-либо город, я стараюсь посмотреть, будет ли там в это время что-то интересное. В Эстонию я езжу достаточно часто, так что давно подписалась на ее Instagram и хештег #visitestonia. И тут мне подвернулось упоминание фестиваля еды, причем какого-то нового, до этого неизвестного. Разумеется, пошла изучать.

Удалось узнать немного. Например то, что первый фестиваль прошел в Будапеште в недалеком 2018 году, его придумала венгерка Регина Борос, а миссия у фестиваля прямо-таки скажем широкого спектра. Тут и просвещение, и осведомление, и развитие гастрономической культуры городов, и стремление сделать черный цвет вновь аппетитным. Да еще и фестиваль не привязали к конкретной точке на карте, поэтому его проводили (за год!) и в Тель-Авиве, и в Нью-Йорке, и в Берлине, и в Хельсинки, и много где еще, и останавливаться эта «черная волна гастрономического просвещения» не собирается. В общем пиар был масштабный, картинки в инстаграме зрелищными, поэтому было принято решение идти. Билет за 9 € был куплен в тот же день.

Первым делом меня напрягла билетная политика. Цена при покупке заранее доходила до 9 € (собственно, я купила такой), а если покупать его в день фестиваля, то целых 12 €. Причем по описанию вообще ничего не понятно, ни что будет на фестивале, ни что входит в стоимость билета, кроме прохода в здание бывшего завода Пыхьяла. Все-таки мне такая позиция непонятна: если цель фестиваля, чтобы его гость что-то купил, то плата за вход должна быть символической, а то и вообще отсутствовать. Тут же даже дегустационную мини-вкусняшку не давали. Ну, думаю, ладно, вдруг все-таки я что-то недопоняла. Больше никакой информации о программе не нашла.

И вот в день проведения, а именно 23 ноября 2019 года мы сели на трамвай до Копли и поехали на фестиваль Black Food Festival Tallinn. Место проведения выбрали в лучшей хипстерской традиции: бывший завод далеко от центра города. Действо проходило на территории бывшего завода Пыхьяла (Põhjala). Это что-то вроде Петербургского Красного треугольника или скорохода. Там тоже раньше производили резиновые изделия, сейчас же там орудуют современные художники. Я к индустриальному наследию, которое не стоит мертвым грузом отношусь крайне положительно.

Пройдя от остановки трамвая до место проведения примерно 2 минуты мы наконец-то попали на фестиваль, и я оказалась права, билеты дают только право туда пройти.

В первом помещении была фотобудка, спонсорский зал (шло что-то вроде пресс-конференции финской компании Wolt (курьерская доставка еды, аналог нашей Яндекс.Еды и Delivery Club), много умных мыслей и фуршетные столы. Сбоку продавали вафли, и, для меня неожиданно, совсем не черные, а обычные.

Во втором зале же сосредоточилась куча фудтраков, где готовили много вкусностей: бургеры, тако, воки, хотдоги и т.п. И…тоже не черные по большей части. Из черного я увидела только глазури для кондитерских изделий, одну пасту и много мороженого, фотку которого можно увидеть в самом верху этого очерка. При этом заказ сделать было очень сложно из-за высокой громкости музыки, которая играла со сцены.

В третьем же зале еды вообще не было, зато были изделия из кожи, мыло ручной работы, органическая косметика, одежда, тату-мастера и прочие барбершопы. В этом зале можно было отдохнуть от долбящей по ушам музыки и пофоткаться для инстаграма. Кстати, инстаграм, наверное, самый желанный гость организаторов, потому что все было сделано для того, чтобы это фотографировали и выкладывали: красивые фотозоны, готичные кресла и подсвечники черного цвета, акценты на логотип фестиваля.

Не знаю, как так получилось, но на фестивале черной еды найти черную еду оказалось проблемой. Кондитерские изделия да, все-таки старались выдерживать стиль. В других же заведениях вероятнее всего было оно черное блюдо и все остальные обычные. Если цель фестиваля: попробовать новое и узнать, что черное тоже может быть вкусным, то почему было так много нечерной еды.

Бургер и тако, которые я пробовала были вкусные, но ничего выдающегося. В сочетании с трудностями с заказом из-за громкой музыки, добавленной стоимостью в виде 9 € за билет и полным отсутствием единого выдержанного стиля, которым пестрил Instagram и который муссировался в рекламе, впечатления о фестивале остались очень неоднозначные. Скорее даже небольшая разочарованность.

Мой язык окрасился от пудинга.

Автор концепции сказал, что получилось даже круче, чем в Нью-Йорке, и тут за таллинцев можно только порадоваться. К тому же привлекли туристов в Копли и Пыхьялу, что уже отличное достижение. Собственно, жителям и гостям понравилось и организаторы уже анонсировали этот фестиваль на ноябрь 2020 года. Я, наверное, в этот раз от посещения воздержусь. Уж лучше в Суздаль за 500 рублей трескать малосольные огурчики.
